Wearable art that captures the spirit of our breed in amazing detail. The artist has expressed this by their choice of this design, which is uniquely dachshund. Running and playing and carried away with 'themselves'.
This is a versatile piece of jewelry as it can be worn as both a pin and a pendant. The pin back is secured with hammered rivets and the pewter loop (used when a chain is added and worn as a necklace) is forged onto the back.
Each pin is handmade by the artist one at a time and consist of oxidized brushed satin pewter, bronze and copper and treated with plating and special brush techniques. The rose is gold plated bronze. The finished piece is then coated with laquer to preserve the surface.
Mounted on a beautifully designed protective card which serves as a small gift box with quotes and information on the inside.
